Happy 5th Birthday Meleaha

Harrisam's party season is back in full swing after a short yuletide interlude.....

and today was also Meleaha's 5th birthday!

A chance to mingle with good friends.....

Play familar party games....

Enjoy fine cuisine.....

And indulge in a non-osh-approved lolly scramble!!!!

It's such a pity that most fairy outfits don't have pockets for holding the excess spoils!

Keen to introduce her friends to life sized "my little ponies".......

Carissa took us all riding......

Fairisam had a fabulous time and now wants to trade in her 10cm pink tall "Tony the pony" for "a real one please mum".....

The pony theme extended into the range of gifts for Carissa....

A most excellent day was topped off with old favourite party games......

and, of course, birthday cake!!

Harrisam goes to Oreti Beach

Some of our Chch relatives came to visit this weekend....

coinciding with the beginning of "summer week" in Southland.....

so the rels decided it would be a great idea to go to the beach!

We did warn them that it might be a "touch" breezy but they may have misinterpreted our local humourrrr.

Still, it turns out that a people mover is more than a mode of transport....

It can also be a wind break!

And sand can be quite insulating.....

Ace of Cakes v Cake Wrecks

Every January, DDC makes his annual golfing pilgrimage to The Legends Golf Tournament in Cromwell ..... he plays with Uncle Naccie, Grandad DR and Big Harry.....

This year Harrisam stayed home to entertain guests.....but TCM always whips up a good luck fruit cake to maintain steady blood sugars for our entrepid golfers.....

but she left the cake decorating up to Harrisam......

Intense concentration is vital for this important task.......
