My new trike.

A big thank you to Rob for lending us a trike for Sam to ride. Apart from running Harry over, she has become our "rubbish girl". Her trike can carry lots of rubbish down to the wheelie bin.
After all the hard work, some sustinance is required............

Harrisam goes to Kyran's Birthday

On Saturday 28th July, we went and stayed with Great Aunty Margaret.

Mum made a mudcake and then Sam helped make blue and red (not pink) ganache icing. We then iced the cake in true spiderman colours for Kyran's birthday party the next day.

It was great to catch up with the cousins.

Harrisam at Large

Dear Family,

Harry and Sam proudly present their very own blogspot so that you can catch up with what we are up to on our "big OE" to Redcliffe in Queensland.

We flew in on June 21st (sorry we missed your birthday Granddad DR) and mum started work at Redcliffe Emergency Department the next day.

Daddy-day-care takes charge while mum is working. We go for walks along the beach, look at boats in the marina, play in one of the local parks and generally entertain ourselves. Sam is particularly fond of digging holes in the sand.

Main Reasons for coming over here:

1. Invercargill is situated just north of Antarctica and we thought it would be nice to go somewhere warm for winter. Brisbane weather report usually consists of the phrase "sunny and 20 degrees" - except this week of course.

2. Change of scene for mum - älthough she talks about "same shit, different location" frequently.

3. Dad wanted to buy a new golf club and they were cheaper over here.

Don't worry Anna, we are coming home - October 11th - just in time for Harry's birthday (and to watch the World Cup Final with a bunch of civilised and learned rugby experts).

Major Features of Brisbane and Queensland

The Wiggles

Mum says that the Wiggles have a playground here but we haven't been there yet.

Although we have been to see Dorothy the Dinosaur. There was a Dance Party over at Caboolture.
Sam had a fantastic time boogying down to all her favourite songs. Even Harry had a bit of a bounce around on dad's knee.

Level Five Water Restrictions

where else in the world can you have a shower in less than 4 minutes......

Somedays we just pretend we have already washed and skip straight to the drying part.

Australia Zoo

Our most favourite place to go with dad when mum is on night shift and needs to sleep.

Sam's favourite part is the Bouncy Castle......
